What is rotational moulding?
The process of manufacturing a hollow, one piece plastic product. The process involves:
- Mould Charging: Charging of the hollow, shell like mould with raw material
- Mould Heating: Heating the mould while rotating in a predetermined biaxial motion. The raw material adheres to the surface of the mould until completely layered.
- Mould Cooling: The rotating mould is then cooled until sufficiently rigid.
- Demoulding: The one piece hollow product is removed from the mould and the process is then repeated.
